About me

Call me Khoa. I am a first-year PhD student at the University of Virginia.

I grew up in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam and got my bachelor degree in University of Science - VNU. During my undergraduate studies, I had several research experiences:

  • I wrote my thesis under the supervision of Dr. Tuan Anh Bui on the cohomology of SS-arithmetic groups.
  • I joined Vietnam Polymath REU program with the topic “LOT groups and the Whitehead Conjecture”, mentored by Prof. Thomas Koberda.
  • I worked with Assoc Prof. Tuan Hiep Dang on Reiner-Tudose Conjecture.
  • I worked with Prof. Truong Le Hoang on Okounkov body and its volume associated with a Nd\N^d-graded linear series. This project is funded by VINIF within sponsorship and cooperation program in 2024 between Vietnam Institute of Mathematics and VINIF.

I do coding for fun.

Don’t hesitate to ask me out for a meal if you see me around, I need to get fat.
